Books that have had an Impact on Me
- Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt, this was the first non-fiction book that I think I have read since university. It was fascinating and opened up a new world of reading to me.
- The World is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman, this was one of the first books that I listened to instead of reading. I listened to every word of the 19 hour-long audio version and really enjoyed the thought provoking concepts.
- 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey, there are very few days that go by that I do not refer to this book in some way. It completely changed how I think about myself and about others. The 7 Habits have truly changed my life.
- Good to Great by Jim Collins, this is one of the only business books that I have read that uses actual data and studies to make their point and no just relying on personal experience or opinion.
- Purple Cow by Seth Godin, this is the book that got me hooked on Seth Godin and have enjoyed and learned a great deal from him ever since. I also subscribe to his blog for which he does a great job of finding something interesting to talk about EVERY day, not just about marketing but often about life in general.
- Linchpin by Seth Godin, another great book from Seth. This one really inspires you to want to be more that what you are today and to stretch to be better.
- What Would Google Do? by Jeff Jarvis, WWGD was the catalyst to me dreaming up the idea for Partfiniti.
- Start With Why by Simon Sinek, the concept of the Golden Circle really helps to present your products or services to potential customers.
- Here Comes Everybody by Clay Shirky
- The Little Big Things by Thomas J. Peters
- Younger Next Year by Chris Crowley
- The Long Tail by Chris Anderson
